ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 18, 2016) — Tampa Bay Rowdies defender Jeremy Hall has been called up by the Puerto Rico National Team for Sunday’s showcase friendly against the United States. Hall accepted the call up and departed Tampa Bay for San Juan on Tuesday.
Hall qualifies for the Puerto Rican National Team via Puerto Rican grandparents.
A Tampa native, Hall played for the United States Under-17 and Under-18 teams and participated in the U-17 Residency program in Bradenton but made no senior appearances.
Sunday’s friendly will be played at Juan Roman Loubriel Stadium in San Juan, the same stadium where Carmelo Anthony’s Puerto Rico FC will begin play in July, offering Rowdies fans an early look at the venue. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
Former Rowdies Fafa Picault, now with FC St. Pauli in the 2.Bundesliga, was called up by the United States for the first time and could feature in the match against Hall.
